The girls played an exceptional game against Georgia in the 1-0 victory. It was special because Georgia went onto win the Gold Medal. Cassie O played a tremendous tournament as she was one of the top scorers, and Jillian M played exceptionally well as centre during the entire tournament. Other strong performances were put in by Sarah H, Jessica K, and Brooke P. Jessica, playing in her first major international tournament scored 3 goals in one game coming in as a substitute. Coaches Annette Lisabeth, and Jennifer McMillan, were extremely proud of the effort put forth by their team throughout the tournament.

They followed that up with a 10-0 win over Lakeshore, and then concluded the first round with an 11-6 win over Washington State. In the second and final round they began with a 9-0 win over the eventual Bronze Medal winners from Lakeshore. The followed that up with a decisive 8-2 win over Florida. The final scheduled game against Washington was cancelled due to an injury to one of the Washington players in the previous game. The boys combined great defence with a strong offensive game lead by Aaron P who lead the tournament with 28 goals. Justin L and Kevin R playing in their first international tournament were solid defensively and Tony F, and Sean S played well as substitutes off the bench to complete a total team effort in going undefeated. Coach Mannen commented that all the hard work that had gone into the training sure paid off as the boys dominated the tournament in all facets of the game.
It has been reported that all of the boys will be wearing dresses very soon as promised during the fund raising drive prior to the tournament last week.
