Canadian Military Heritage Museum Trip

On Tuesday November 6, the grade 10 history classes went on a trip to the amazing Canadian Military Heritage museum in Brantford. They were there to learn more about our military Heritage.

They were able to touch a whole bunch of different artifacts like guns, Swords, and even a type of cellphone they would have been used in the war. Most students held a gun from over 250 years ago. There was an opportunity to walk through a trench and be able to see what it was like for the soldiers during World War 1. The students got to see air planes from World War 1, that where really colourful and awesome.

It was really cool for some of the students that were able to sit in the tanks. At the end of the trip students looked at small old artifacts such as grenades, and gun shocks.

The grade 10 history students had a great time and really enjoyed the museum. The history teachers hope to bring their history classes next year!
