Kristian B – SIP
Kristian shows respect for his classmates and staff. He answers questions and shares his ideas. Kristian is participating in his braille and group work. He cooperates in a variety of activities and demonstrates a positive attitude. He has been doing a very good job in Physio and Gym too.
Cameron D - Elementary
Cameron helps others when he feels they need help and he always tries his best to learn. He demonstrates kindness to all. Also on Thursday Jan-31 Cameron with out being asked went from the computer lab and got George's cane and brought it to him so both boys could get to recess quicker. This helped George to find his way out of the computer lab safely. Cameron showed empathy and teamwork to a fellow classmate.
Sabrina D - DeafBlind
Sabrina demonstrates perseverance as we as staff members work to understand her world. She is deafblind so perceives the world in a way that is not familiar to us as seeing, hearing people. She tolerates interactions with others that may at times be confusing to her. She consistently indicates she will interact with us and try again to expand her world as we gradually understand hers, there is mutual sharing and working together to understand each others reality. Sabrina remains honest to her sensory needs. She consistently lets us know when she can take in more information and when she cannot. Sabrina's way of perceiving the world is unique and she never gives up trying to help us understand this and that is perseverance!!
Ferdous K - Secondary
Ferdous shows respect to all students at this school, regardless of their age or curriculum level. This is his first year taking a credited high school English course and while it has been a tough go, Ferdous has stuck with it showing both responsibility and perseverance at this challenge. He completes all assignments to the best of his ability and received the second highest score in class on his midterm exam -- proving perseverance does pay off!
