This is a special thank you to everyone that participated in our second Earth Day Celebration. Once again, we had fantastic weather for our event. Many staff and students also wore clothing that was brown or green to celebrate the day.
There were events and activities planned throughout the day. Namely, an assembly and campus clean-up challenge were the school was able to collect 45 Kilograms of garbage and recyclables from our school grounds. Wow! That’s about 100 pounds, or about the weight of 10 braillers!
In the afternoon most of the classes planted a tree on the school grounds….in total 30 white spruce trees were planted in our naturalized area! That brings our current total of trees planted to 42 to date!
