Defence was the name of the game for the Argos in this years Silver Cup. Veteran players such as Nathan, Jill, Holden and the Miller brothers kept the vaunted Bills offence off the scoreboard allowing the Argos to reclaim the Silver Cup with a 10-0 victory.
The Argos got on the scoreboard midway in the second half when Erik returned a Bills punt 60 yards for a touchdown. Holden who was playing in his final Silver Cup added the convert. Holden would later add a field goal in the games final minute to seal the victory for the Argos.
Ryan R, Adriano, Tony and Geeorge all had outstanding games for the Bills.
Bills head Coach Mr. Russell was gracious in defeat. He said he was proud of the effort put forth by his team and praised the winning efforts of the Argos. He also added that he hoped Mr. Bruels would reconsider coaching another year. “There is nothing I would like better than to have another shot at beating Mr. Breuls in next years Silver Cup.” Coach Russell then left, saying that he had game film to look at.
