WRMS Poetry

Adapting
by Candace T.

This fall is really different for me
It's not just the season, the world even changes, like magic

The Fall here is beautiful, wonderful and the view is amazing!
The leaves change colour and I love watching them scatter all over the place
They remind me of scraps of construction paper when I look at them

I can still wear flip flops, dresses, shorts and short pants.
Soooo I take advantage of it.

Days go by faster than you can imagine
You wake up, take a shower, and in a blink of an eye, you're back in bed again.
After a whole week of doing this and that, you get really exhausted and tired out.

Fall in Labrador is boring to me, it gets cold instantly and the trees look the same
The air gets too chilly, you have to wear a jacket.

Days go by faster than you can imagine
You wake up, take a shower and in a blink of an eye, you're back in bed again.
It's different than a small town life.

  1. Candace,

You have a way of writing that creates amazing images. We take our fall for granted and it is nice to get a reminder that we should appreciate it!
